Exit 77 Park & Ride, located at Main Street and I-5 in Chehalis, will be temporarily closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic beginning June 8, 2026, to allow for construction activities associated with a major facility renovation project.
Construction areas will be fenced and clearly marked throughout the project. The closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately three months, with construction anticipated to continue through September 2026.
The project will transform the existing park-and-ride facility into the Main Street e-Transit Station at Exit 77, an innovative, green technology-infused transportation hub designed to serve Chehalis and surrounding communities. The upgraded facility will feature enhanced intermodal connectivity, including:
· Public transit access
· Electric vehicle charging stations
· Expanded parking capacity
· Improved bicycle and pedestrian pathways
· Modern amenities designed to support sustainable transportation options
During the construction period, commuters and transit riders are encouraged to utilize either the Mellen Street Park & Ride at Exit 81 or the Exit 68 Park & Ride at 172 US Hwy 12, Chehalis, as an alternative location.
Lewis County Transit appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as these improvements are completed. The project represents a significant investment in the future of transportation infrastructure in Lewis County and will provide enhanced mobility options for residents, commuters, and visitors.
