About Lewis County Transit

Lewis County Transit provides training for CDL certification and offers first aid and other safety courses. Lewis County Transit currently operates nine fixed routes – 35-foot buses, either diesel or electric, are used on four of our routes while smaller ADA commercial vans are used for Lewis County Transit’s demand response services (DARTT and LIFTT). Our goal is to reach a 100% zero-emission fleet by 2030 and to continue the enhancement of park and ride transit facilities, complete with EV charging infrastructure and other amenities designed to provide passenger and operator comfort and safety. Bus Operator Position
Lewis County Transit is currently hiring for the position of Operator. This position is benefit-eligible and represented by Teamsters Local 252.
General requirements include:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Be capable of possessing a valid Washington State Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement Lewis County Transit will provide training if needed)
- Availability – Shift hours may range between Monday-Friday, 5:15 AM – 8:30 PM and Sat/Sun 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
